Baked beans with squash

The beloved classic baked beans dish gets a boost from the rich aroma of butternut squash. An additional source of protein comes from black beans, a superfood that is also rich in fibre.

Ingredients

tablespoons oil
1 large
onion
60 g
Podravka pancetta
400 g
butternut squash
600 g
Podravka Black beans
1/4 teaspoon
Vegeta Maestro ground chilli
1 packet
Fant seasoning mix for refried beans

PREPARATION
Use an ovenproof frying pan. Fry sliced onions in hot oil on the stove. Fry until transparent, add sliced pancetta and fry a little more. Add cubes of squash and drained beans. Add contents of Fant packet with 300 ml warm water, and pour over vegetables in pan. Add chilli, bring to the boil and transfer to the oven, preheated to 200°C, and bake for 20–30 minutes until squash is tender.
SERVING
Serve warm.
ADVICE
You can use butternut or Hokkaido squash for this dish.
